Daily Makeup Bag

Even though I own a ton of makeup, way more than anyone should really own, I always seem to end up with some staples that I use over and over again. Right now I keep a makeup bag on my bathroom counter which contains the makeup I use the most on a daily basis. I also try to challenge myself on days where I have some extra time to "shop my stash" and use products that haven't been getting much love lately. Today however, I wanted to share with you some of those favorites that I reach for almost on the daily!

Daily Makeup Bag

PUR HydraFluid Water Serum Foundation, $39
This foundation comes in 5 shade selections. My shade is light and it blends in perfectly with my skin. I'm anticipating that for summer, medium may be a a good shade for me. This product is described as having an encapsulated water complex which delivers Swiss Alps-sourced water to hydrate the skin for lasting radiance while providing silky, medium coverage. I do love, especially in winter, products that have some extra hydration to them. I use my Real Techniques makeup sponge to apply this to my skin and it really is an effortless application. I've truly fallen in love with the natural look of this product. The only downside is I've found I need 2-3 times more product than the directions indicate, regardless of my application method. At this price point, this makes this a pricey love for me!

elf cosmetics eyeshadow primer, $3
I can use this on it's own just to even out some discoloration on my lids when I'm short on time. I usually do use this as an eyeshadow primer though. I've found this holds up to the pricey brands and even though I own too faced and urban decay and lorac and others, this is the one I've repurchased time after time and keep in my daily makeup bag.

e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set, $3

Before I discovered this product, I used Urban Decay's All Nighter which is still a product that I love, but I find this one from elf to work just as well and it only costs $3! I think I've purchased this about 3 or 4 times now. It has been a little harder to find in stores lately, but when I do spot it, I'm sure to pick up a spare!

Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner, $20
I have a bunch of these but currently I keep about 3 in my makeup bag that are quickly becoming short little stubs. I typically reach for a brown (Underground) or a purple (Rockstar) to soften up my eye look a bit. These pencils last a long time even when I'm using them daily. They glide on when I apply them and stay in place.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, $5
This is one of the few products that I've ever hit pan on. It adds that nice finishing touch to my foundation and helps to blend and even out any areas. It also does have a matte appearance and seems to have good lasting power.

tartlette tease, $21
This mini palette contains six eyeshadows that pair just perfectly together. This is such a perfect to go palette or palette to keep easily accessible for a quick makeup look. I've used this a ton already and have always loved the looks I've gotten. You can create a quick and simple look or a more sultry smoky look. I love the colors they've included and I love the light vanilla scent this has. This palette is on par with the quality of tarte shadows and I've had no problems with creasing, staying power, pigmentation etc.

CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara, $7
I purchased this because my favorite beauty vlogger, Emily of Beauty Broadcast, highly recommended it. I'm including it in this list because it is in my daily makeup bag, however, it's not quite to love status. I typically am not a fan of small rubber bristle brushes, but I had high hopes for this mascara. I would say it works just okay on me. Some days, I seem to have better luck with it than others. Some mascaras in the past I haven't liked much initially and then they become a favorite, so I'm not quite ready to give up on this one yet!

What are some of your daily favorites? Comment and let me know, I'd love to hear from you!
