Summer Essentials with Burt's Bees

With summer weather in full swing, frequent beach trips are on the top of our to-do lists but it can be easy to forget the necessities when traveling. These four natural Burt’s Bees products are staple summer essentials and are sure to keep you moisturized and polished after any long day at the beach.

1. Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Nourishing Oil: Perfect for glowing, moisturized skin
Taking care of your baby's skin is really important, especially in the summer months. Burt's Bees has a product which is safe to use on babies and can be used by adults as well for glowing soft skin. This contains apricot and grape seed oil and is without phthalates, parabens, petrolatum, or SLS. My baby niece is about 8 months old and so I will definitely be using this on her to keep her skin well cared for these summer months!

And don't forget the SPF!

2. Burt’s Bees Honey & Shea Sugar Scrub: Ideal for scrubbing away dead skin for smooth, soft skin. Okay, so I've used a lot of hand scrubs in my day and I think I've finally found the perfect one. This is such the perfect combination of luxurious fresh scent, oils and the perfect size and texture of scrub. I love using just the oil in this on my nails. I will apply some to my nails, rub it in and let it sit until it is soaked in. I've definitely noticed an improvement in the look of my nails. I've also used this on both my hands and feet with great results. My skin is so smooth and soft after and the scent it leaves is light but really pleasing. This contains honey, shea, ground almonds and aloe. The ingredients list is easily recognizable and this is packed with some power ingredients. For only $13 for a large size tub, there is no losing out with this product!

3. Burt’s Bees Aloe & Linden Flower After Sun Soother: This intensely hydrating, quick-absorbing face and body lotion is packed with natural aloe vera and linden extract to soothe sun exposed skin. This was a major skin saver for me lately. I had spent about 5 hours in the sun and despite lathering multiple layers of SPF 50 on, I still managed to get burnt! After the beach, I quickly went home and grabbed for this. I felt immediate relief once this was applied and I felt my burn healed quicker. I had minimal pain and no peeling at all. I brought this back to my beach mates who were also in need of some quick relief. I think everyone was happy and really grateful to have this product. This also has a light refreshing scent which is very pleasing and gender neutral.

4. Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm: Give your lips both moisture and color, all in one!
For just a hint of color and a whole lot of conditioning. The Botanical Waxes in these softly tinted balms will take your lips to lovely in one pretty swipe. There are 9 different color selections, each providing a touch of flattering color for this summer. I love using tinted lip balms in summer because you still want a hint of color on your lips without any muss or fuss.

I'm a huge fan of summer and I'm a huge fan of the delicious fruits that are abundant. There is nothing quite like having some slices of watermelon on a hot summer day. If you're a fruit lover like me, you can also incorporate fruits into your routine in other ways! Below are four new ways you can incorporate some more fruits into you summer!

1. Dana’s Bakery Watermelon Mac of the Month ($30.00, Yum! Have a summer gathering with friends and not sure what to bring? Bring some macroons from Dana's Bakery. This delicious little bites are packaged so cute and are sure to be a hit! The watermelon macs were delicious and just the right about of sweetness. Burt's Bees is a long time trusted brand for me and I've always got some hiding in my purse or pocket!  Pucker up to hydrate your lips with a sweet, light kiss of coconut oil

3. Stur Drinks Liquid Water Enhancer
( Stur Drink Enhancers are a more natural way of sweetening up your water, which you are sure to be gulping down lots of this summer. One of my favorites is the lemonade flavor. You only need a little bit to add some delicious taste to your water! A mouthwatering and naturally sweetened blend of oranges and mangos - tastes natural, not chemical or processed. Add Stur to your water or seltzer.

Mattify Your Skin with Korres

With summer nearly here, I like to try to get my skin looking great on it's own. Summers in Wisconsin tend to be hot and muggy and so I like to wear as less makeup as possible. One problem area I have is evening out skin tone and pore size. I've turned to Korre's Pomegranate Mattifying Primer to help me with these common skincare issues. This product will help mattify skin, minimize pores and reduces redness – giving you picture perfect skin.

What I love about this product is that it comes out with a slight tint which helps to even out my skin tone. It applies evenly and is cool and comforting. It is easy to apply and I can see a difference after I use this. After my skin has been washed, I spray it with a toner and use a light moisturizer and then apply this primer before applying any foundation. This is a water-based mattifying, pore minimizing, and skin-perfecting primer. I've been using this product on some hot muggy days lately and it really has helped with the appearance of my skin. I notice that my foundation applies evenly and is long lasting. I have not noticed my skin getting oily or shiny throughout the day at all. I have been absolutely loving this product lately!!

Try combining this with the Pomegranate Balancing Cream-Gel Moisturiser ($32) for even better results which is a lightweight moisturizer that provides a matte finish and pore-minimizing properties while leaving skin soft, hydrated, and balanced.
