Best Shimmery Neutral Eyeshadow Picks

Shimmery Eyeshadows

I love color, drama and experimentation with eyeshadow looks. But that also takes some time and patience. During the week, I'm usually in such a hurry to get out of the house and to the office that I really need a simple 10 minute makeup routine. In order to create a professional look, but still have something that makes me feel good, I've really come to love some shadows. I've picked my favorite shimmery neutral shadows for you. I picked these by thinking about what ends up on my vanity time after time, which products I've used the most of and which have great staying power to last the whole day. It wasn't as hard to narrow down as I thought as I think I've really gotten a good routine down and I've tried so many products that I know when I've got a winner! Keep reading to see my top picks!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Bulletproof Beige
I like this color because it is in a stick form which makes it easy to apply when you're in a hurry. I do usually use a primer with this as it can crease a little bit. I still reach for this a lot and it is a really great basic beige color that you can't go wrong with.

Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream 16: Pink Beige
I'm about 3/4 done with this cream shadow and that says a lot since I have so many eyeshadows. This is hands down the shadow that I wear the most. I wear this when I still want a professional neutral look but I also want a little bit of pop and shimmer. This pairs well with green eyes and it is truly crease proof. This has amazing lasting power!

L to R
Maybelline Barely Branded, Urban Decay Dust, Urban Decay Buzz, Urban Decay YDK, Urban Decay Sin, Stila Kitten Smudgepot, Stila Kitten powder

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded
I've probably mentioned this shadow 50 times because I love it so much. It's probably the second most used shade that I have and retails for only around $6. A jar of this cream shadow is going to last you a very long time as you just need a little swipe. You can build up the color with another shade as well. This works fantastic as a base for other shadows or it works as a great standalone shade to brighten up your eye area. Also, the staying power is fantastic and I never have creasing.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Dust and Buzz
This is probably my most favorite palette of the moment as I love neutrals, pinks and rose golds. There are two shades that really stand out to me in this palette which could be worn alone any day of the week and those are Dust and Buzz.  Dust is a shimmery lighter pink which is described as a pale metallic pink shimmer w/iridescent micro-glitter and Buzz is a deeper shade that is described as metallic rose shimmer w/silver micro-glitter.

Urban Decay YDK (single shade or found in Naked 2)
This is a taupe shaded neutral that packs some major shimmer. It is described as a cool bronze. Out of the Naked 2 palette, this is the shade that clearly has been used the most. I just can't get enough of it.

Urban Decay Sin
This is just one of those gorgeous neutral shimmery shades that you can't help but fall in love with. You could top this over the Barely Branded shade or wear alone. This has more shimmer to it, so I wear it when I want a little more noticeable look. Staying true to Urban Decay shades, this is creamy and applies gorgeously and has good staying power. I'd say this is one of the must have shades from Urban Decay.

Stila Kitten
This signature color from Stila is a nice soft shimmery beige neutral. I have this is the smudgepot version which is basically a cream version and the regular powder version. The powder version is definitely creamier and it is easy to apply. It came off a little bit more beige whereas the smudgepot formulation seems to have a touch of pink tones to it. The powder also seemed to have more pigmentation in one swipe. The smudgepot is easy to apply as well if you apply one layer. I like using the smudgepot as a base. This also comes in a lipgloss and is gorgeous!

Which of these is your favorite neutral? If yours isn't listed, comment and let me know what your go to shade is, I'd love to hear your recommendations!
