Bob Harper's Jumpstart to Skinny Challenge

Jumpstart to Skinny Blog Challenge {Inspire}


I'm ready to get in shape for Spring/Summer. How about you? I've been working out the last few weeks, but haven't seen the pounds start dropping yet. So when I saw Bob Harper (from the Biggest Loser) on Dr. Oz with a Jumpstart to Skinny plan, I knew I wanted in. I'm just getting started on it, but here is my plan and the basics you need to know before deciding if this is for you too.

Jumpstart to Skinny Basics
  • 3 cups of coffee per day, 1 right in morning
  • Fish oil with every meal
  • Plate always 40% healthy carbs, 40% lean protein, 20% healthy fats
  • 16 ounces of water before every meal 
  • 15 minutes of "Jumpstart" moves per day (see video below)

My Personal Plan for Success:
  • Workout 15 minutes per day, minimum. Workout 3 days a week for an hour. 
  • Walk to work instead of driving.
  • Stick to the diet as much as possible, but don't deny myself a craving once in awhile, keeping it as healthy as possible. If I restrict myself 100%, it is more likely I will give up.
  • Blog about my results each Friday for a "Fitness Friday" post with Justina's Gems to keep myself accountable and share my progress with you 
  • Get others to join our DietBet to increase my monetary motivation and help others get in shape too
  • Focus on health and how I feel more than the pounds. My health is my motivation.
  • Post inspiration on Instagram @intrubeauty with hashtag #fit2bfab
  • Reward myself with a new outfit or a treat after the 28 day challenge
Update:
I've been using the basics from Jumpstart to Skinny as well as a Clean Eating plan which I detail on my blog weekly. Here is my progress so far after 50 days, down 10 pounds. Make sure that you are following me so you don't miss up on my weightloss journey updates and results!
