From the Archives: Emerald for St. Patty's Day!

Here is an old post with my favorite Emerald product picks, perfect for St. Patrick's Day.
Beautysets - Pantone 2013 Color of the Year: Emerald
Eyes: (pictured above)
Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow in Neptune, $19
An advanced formula developed specifically for the studio to deliver a bold, striking look that stays put for up to 15 hours. With just one swipe, this ultra-creamy shadow deposits vibrant, budge-proof color that lasts from the first click of the camera up until the final frame.

Face:

Make Up For Ever Strass in 16 Emerald Green. Round crystals. Formulated for use on the entire face, Strass provides sparkle and drama to any look. It can be used on the lash line as an alternate liner or applied on the face to create an artistic design. Add Strass to dress up and add some fun to any occasion! Only at Sephora, $21.00.

Lashes:

Katy Perry by Eylure Ka-Ching false lashes (worn in the photo above), works with all eye colors. Available for sale at Claire's, $9.50. Full review and more pictures to come!

Primer:
Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer – Adjust, $38 available at Smashbox.com
Only really just emerald in spirit, this miracle product is color-correcting, wrinkle-reducing, and dark-spot-defying! Create a perfect canvas for foundation application and even out skin tone with this silky, lightweight blend of antioxidants and vitamins A & E.

This silky primer leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth while toning down the redness in your skin. I have a major problem with redness on my face, it is probably my #1 skin gripe. I first applied this one one side of my face and not the other to compare if the green really did reduce some of the redness and it really did appear to. This is the third formulation of their primers that I have tried including the original and the moisturizing one and I absolutely love them all. They are expensive, but worth it, and it will last you a long time.

Hair:
Streekers – Green, $11.95 available at www.Ulta.com
Using an advanced liquid technology, Streekers instantly deposits bold, vibrant color that can be applied over mousse or styling gel. A revolution in temporary hair color, Streekers highlights wash out only when you want them out. The sleek, sponge-tip applicator guarantees flawless coverage and ultimate control for expertly-applied streaks.
My "please let this wash out" look!
This is super easy to use and easily washes out. I was a little worried since I have to go to work tomorrow  but it came right out. The color really looks like it is permanent dye. Even though I applied it myself, if I didn't know better, I would think I had actually gotten it done that color! Also comes in the following colors: pink, ultraviolet, red, yellow, orange, purple and blue.

Nails:

ZOYA Polish in Suvi: a dense emerald green shimmer set in a sheer smoky base. This rich gem toned shade will inspire envy in everyone who sees it. I don't have this color, but I absolutely love every Zoya polish that I have and I'm sure this one is no exception. I saw this swatched on their facebook and it's gorgeous. I also noticed you can get three free polishes from 1/7 to 1/13 with code ZOYA2013 for just $10 for shipping. These normally retail at $8/each.

Accessory:
Stella & Dot Liz Drop Earrings, $59

So there you have it, those are my picks for you to look your best head to toe in the color of the year, Emerald. Last year's color was Tangerine Tango and I did pick up a blush palette at Sephora which I loved. I'm in love with this Emerald color too, but I was for some reason a little surprised that they picked it. I have yet to see a lot of emerald this year so far, but the year is just starting! I'm hoping Sephora has a color of the year line out with Pantone. I haven't seen anything on their website yet.

What is your favorite item? Will you be rocking this color in 2013?

Yours in Trubeauty,

Jessica

Some of these products were sent for review and/or contain links where I may get credit for a purchase like Shoedazzle, some items were purchased with my own money and some I just think are pretty.
