Cargo Cosmetics

Update: Check out my swatches and reviews of the new Spring eyeshadows!
I'm really loving the look I achieved today with Cargo cosmetics. The one thing that stood out to me was that a little really does go a long way. It was really easy to pick up product from the blushes and bronzers onto my brush and a little bit had great pigmentation. Keep reading for more information and products used to create this look.
I used the Cargo Cosmetics Beach Blush in Tenerife. I applied to two pinkest colors onto the apples of my cheeks and up to the hair line. This gave me a subtle healthy looking natural glow.

About: Imagine the perfect marriage of blush and bronzer! Four harmonious shades work together to provide perfectly flushed cheeks with a sun-drenched glow. Golden Goddess effects in a flash! Our BeachBlush™ has earned its status as one of CARGO’s most iconic products and even appeared as a question on Jeopardy! Packaged in our signature tin with generous surface area for easy swirling

I then applied the Cargo bronzer in dark very lightly all over my face with a fluffy kabuki brush. Then with a more precise angled kabuki brush, I applied this into the hallows areas for contouring purposes. I also applied this lightly around the hairline for added contouring. This can really change the appearance and shape of your face and I especially like applying this in the hallows of my cheek area to make my cheek bones more pronounced and have a slimmer appearance to my face.

I was a little worried at first with the dark color as I haven't had luck with other darker bronzers, however, this still applied effortlessly and naturally. I was really amazed at how natural this remained when applied. Thats probably why this is what Cargo is known for! It appeared mostly matte with a small amount of shimmer so it works great for contouring. I love that this can also be used all over for a light brush of healthy natural looking color.

About:
It’s what we’re famous for: Our classic bronzer. An all-time favorite among celebs and makeup artists and a top-seller around the world. Packaged in our signature tin and available in colors and formulations to suit your needs; whether you are looking for radiant shimmer or a matte finish, we’ve got you covered—and bronzed! Retails $29.

I used the Color Stick in Champagne onto the cheekbone and right under my brow. You can see the glow from the product in this picture. This applies as a cream but dries as a powder. Application was super easy with the stick design and this blended in really easily. This gave me the glow that I was looking for without relying on glitter or too much shimmer.
About: An oil-free, cream color stick that blends effortlessly to eyes, cheeks and lips, for a natural, monochromatic look. The velvety, ultra-light texture blends flawlessly onto the skin for an “airbrushed” finish. Cheeks appear smooth and flawless. The cream-to-powder formula sets for an exceptionally longwearing finish and never settles into fine lines. The dial-up stick makes application a breeze. Available in 5 shades: Santorini, Key West and Maui give a natural and pretty color to the cheeks, eyes and lips. St. Tropez offers sheer bronze glow perfect for giving a soft tan glow or sculpting the cheekbones. Champagne is a warm highlighter that is ideal for highlighting key areas of the face.
For lips, I used both of the lip glosses above. I used Juneau (top) all over the lip and Fresno (bottom) in the middle of the lips for definition. These are more sheer than they appear in the tube. The last of these was about 3-4 hours. They weren't overly sticky. The only issue I had is they seemed to cling a little more to some dry skin on my lips. I would recommend a hydrating balm underneath or exfoliating before use. This has been a particularly nasty winter so my lips aren't in the best of shape. The other thing I noticed was that the doe foot applicator on the wand was flexible. I didn't find that this particularly added to the ease of application.
About: a unique and longwearing lip gloss that provides staying power while moisturizing and providing a high-shine finish. All of this in a size and at a price that makes it easy to collect many shades! This silky and longwearing lip gloss can be worn alone for a sheer look or on top of your favorite lipstick for a super glossy effect. Retails $14

Final thoughts: I'm really loving the blushes and bronzers and its pretty evident why they are known for them. I did like the glosses as well, but for $14 I think I could find comparable glosses for less. I'm absolutely totally in love with the blush sticks as well. It only takes a few dabs and that's it. These are going to last a long time and therefore are a great value for the price. I will be doing another review showing how they look on your lips too. These products are going to last a very long time which makes the price worth it. It only takes a small swab or dab to get the color payoff you are looking for! Stay tuned for more Cargo reviews and looks!

Yours In Trubeauty,

Jessica
