Bare Mineral's limited edition palette called The Star Treatment is on sale at Sephora right now for $25, originally $40 retail. This comes with 8 gorgeous shades, a mini eyeshadow brush and a mini eyelid primer. I knew I had to have it because it was such an amazing deal and the colors were unique enough to justify it. There was a second palette on sale as well, I can't remember the name but it was identical in design except of course for the actual shadow colors.
Lips are Armour Beauty in "grace"
#1: Apply all over entire lid
#2: Apply onto center and main area of lid. Later apply this shade with a slanted eyeliner brush onto the lower lash line.
#3: Apply onto outer lid.
#4: Apply into outer V of the lid. Also apply into outer V area of the lash lines as a liner.
#5: Apply as a highlighter up to the brow bone
#6: Apply black liquid liner onto the upper lash line and then with an eyeliner brush, apply this shade ontop and into the very outer corner of the lower lash line.
My final thoughts:
I really wasn't impressed with the brush that came with this and also had a more difficult time using some of my regular makeup brushes. To get #2 to show up as vibrant as it should be, I ended up using my fingers to pat it on. When applied in that way it is a gorgeous yellowish golden shade. It appears more golden than it turned out in my picture above. I liked playing with the combination of these colors and I thought they really paired well together. I don't have any palettes like this, so I figured I would give it a try for $25 and I think the gamble paid off. A quad of bare Minerals shadows retails for $30. I can see myself getting a decent amount of use out of this and there really are a good amount of combinations and looks that can emerge from this one palette!
