Klorane Product Review

We recently had the opportunity to test out some products from Klorane Laboratories. This is a company with 50 years of experience in combining the best of nature with the best of science. They use pure plant extracts to target specific hair and skin needs along with pharmaceutical knowledge to develop their product line. Their line utilizes the lowest number of ingredients for the highest efficacy and safety.

Conditioner with Papyrus Milk, 5.22 oz, $14

I just received this product not too long ago and have been using it daily and loving it. Just like with face washes, I have about 5 or 6 conditioners in my shower and have tried an abundance of them in my life. I have naturally curly hair which can be unruly and frizzy especially on humid days. Since this line is formulated for unruly and dry hair, it was a perfect match for me. Moisturize is essential to maintaining great curls. This has a light scent to it which I really like, but it is hard for me to describe in words what it smells like. The company describes as a "subtle blend of green and fresh cut grass notes". This definitively helps detangle my hair when I comb it with a wide tooth comb while wet. Overall, I would classify my hair as shiny, smooth, and silky. Perfect!

Leave-in fluid with Papyrus Milk, 3.4oz, $14
This has a pump top and is more of a cream than what I would think of as a fluid. You can apply this to towel dried hair or to dry hair to help with frizz and humidity. I use this in conjunction with the conditioner above. This has the same light scent to it, maybe even lighter than the conditioner. It is a nice scent which the company describes as a "subtle blend of green and fresh cut grass notes". This did not leave my hair feeling weighed down at all. My hair felt soft, shiny, silky, and more manageable when used together with the conditioner. Both these products are definitely in my curly hair arsenal for these hot muggy summer months!

Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, 3.2 oz for $18
I have the aerosol version of this dry shampoo, and it's not hard to see why it's earned the Best of Beauty Award by Allure Magazine.  I simply spray this on my roots and a little bit throughout my layers and a steady stream of white-ish powder sucks up all the oil.  Surprisingly (in a good way) it goes on mostly clear with just a hint of white, whereas many dry shampoos spray on stark white and require a ton of brushing to get out.  The scent is light and natural smelling, and the product works like a charm.  2 minutes after spraying this in my hair, I finger combed it through and I was set to go.  Highly recommend!

Mango Oil Spray, 4.2 oz for $14
The active ingredient in this spray is mango butter, which is evident because of the beautiful light scent I get from this as I spray it on my hair.  I love the way this smells and I love even more the way it makes my hair feel.  Directions indicate to spray this on dry or damp hair.  It is a waterproof formula and protects dry, damaged hair against the sun, leaving hair silky and radiant.  This claim is lofty and hard to fulfill in most products, but I find that the spray does everything it promises.  My hair was shiny, soft, and easy to manage after using this product.  I used it in place of my much-loved and high price tag item- Moroccan Oil and found that it performed very similarly to that product.  I love that it sprays so I don't have to get it on my hands.  Used wet it works like a dream, and I'll be curious to use it dry if it leaves my hair even more shiny!

Have you tried Klorane products?  Justina was first introduced through Birchbox, when she received a sample of their eye makeup remover.  Look for a review on that in the coming days as well!
