LAQA & Co. Cosmetics

LAQA & Co. Cosmetics

We recently had the opportunity to test out some Laqa products for review curtesy of the company. The first thing that intrigued me about the company was the beyond adorable designs. I'm always a sucker for packaging. It just makes makeup even more fun! The second thing I noticed was that although they only carry a few products, they have a great and unique color selection. I also love that they have artist designs inspired by their colors which you can see on their website.

Lampchop Fat Lip Pencil, $20.95

Company Description:
We love a hot pink. Especially one named after a sheep!

The smooth buttery texture coats lips in stunning, glossy color and comes in a handy jumbo pencil that needs no sharpener.

Jessica's Review: I thought this was close to being true to color on the picture on their website. It has a slight peppermint taste and feel to it which I love. I thought the color went on smoothly and was very vibrant. The color description was accurate. The color had good staying power and even after I wiped it off there was still some color on my lips which I like. Again, I really loved the packaging and artwork. Be sure to check out their website!

You'll have sisterly love for this, the sweetest of lavender shades.

Justina's Review:  I do love this beautiful purple shade.  For me, it was the perfect shade, and the name is definitely worthy of some giggles.  I love the applicator, because it's like a pen, and you can click it to get the polish out.  The directions didn't indicate the need to apply a base or top coat, just to put 3 coats on.  The first coat applied very sheer, and the second and third brought the color up to what I ended up with at the end.  I still had a few streaks, but overall I thought it was a very average performance nail polish.  The polish dried very quickly between coats.  There is no shimmer to the color, it's a flat color with a bit of shine to it when the light hits it.  When you get the pump going to get the product out, about enough to cover 2 nails will pump out at once, so be prepared for that.  Even the instructions warn you!  What I did like was how petite the applicator was- it would be super easy to throw in your purse or for travel, or for touchups!  Overall, I do like this product, and had chipping in about 2.5 days.  That is pretty average for me, especially with no top coat.  I also love that the artwork is by original artists who are supported by the sale of the Laqa & Co products.

We really enjoyed reviewing Laqa & Co products.  Have you tried them?

Yours in Beauty,
Justina & Jessica
