Tocca Eau de Parfum and Lip Gloss

Greetings blog readers!

I am so excited to bring you a review today from one of my favorite new companies, Tocca.  I discovered this company when I was in a gift shop in Leavenworth, WA and I was so glad they were generous enough to send us a few items to review.  I was sent the Eau de Parfum Viaggio and a Baci Collection Lip Gloss in Salina.

$14 for .07 oz.

Kisses from Southern Italy.  Sheer, ultra-hydrating and conditioning, our Aqua Baci lip glosses keep your lips kissable with Aloe, Vitamin E and Olive Oil.

The Facts:  Paraben Free, Aloe, Vitamin E, Olive Oil, Shea Butter.

Kisses from Salina is a raspberry peach scent that leaves a hint of rose color on the lips.

This product is awesome!  It comes with a roller ball top and the consistency is very similar to olive oil, so it's not surprising that it's an active ingredient.  In the last 10 or more years, lip glosses seem to only come in containers with doe foot or brush applicators, so this was a nice change!  The last time I saw a lip gloss with this formulation was when I was in middle school and a popular chain store carried a product very similar to this, which I loved!

The product has a great scent to it and it is very ultra moisturizing.  The rose color doesn't really translate on my lips.  Because of the thin and oily consistency, I have mostly been wearing this on my lips alone because it's really slick.  You wouldn't want to layer this over a lipgloss because the way the roller ball is designed you would clog up the applicator if you got other product in here.  I love the raspberry peach scent.  I would definitely recommend this product!

3 bottles x 15 mL/0.51 fl. oz.

The perfect introduction...Indulge in three of our favorite TOCCA fragrances in miniature.  Our limited edition coffret features Stella, Florence, and Cleopatra Eau de Parfum in three Old World inspired, beautifully collectible bottles.

Cleopatra- Inspired by the Mediterranean seductress, Cleopatra captivates the senses.
Top Notes:  Bitter Grapefruit, Lush Greens, Cassis Bud
Middle Notes:  White Jasmine, Peach Nectar, Tuberose
Bottom Notes:  Warm Patchouli, Golden Amber, Rich Vanilla Musk

Stella- A tempestuous and moody as a rebellious young italian beauty, Stella attracts your senses with a flirtatious, fresh fragrance.
Top Notes:  Bitter Orange, Blood Orange, Watery Accord
Middle Notes:  White Fressia, Wild Diamond Orchids, Spicy Lily
Bottom Notes:  Sheer Musk, Sandalwood

Florence- A Parisian beauty and sophisticate, Florence conjures memories of old-world Paris.
Top Notes:  Italian Bergamot, Grapefruit Leaves, Green Pear, Apple
Middle Notes:  Ivory Gardenia, Crushed Violet Petals, Jasmine, Tuberose, Blue Iris
Bottom Notes:  Blonde Wood, White Musk

The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was how absolutely beautiful these bottles are.  They would look gorgeous sitting on a vanity.  And even in a sampler box, they are still a nice size and come at a nice price.  I actually prefer smaller bottles of perfume to larger bottles, because I tend to rotate mine a lot and I don't need a huge amount.  I love the beauty of the bottles and the lid.  These don't have a spritzer top, just a hole in the top but that works ok for me, and once they're empty someday, I will be able to use them to hold tiny trinkets, like earring backs or something.

Pretty lid!

I'll describe these perfumes as a whole, and then individually.  All three of them have something in common- they are all beautiful and meant for a sophisticated woman.  I was trying to put my finger on the right words to describe them, and this quote from their website explains them perfectly-
Our perfumers develop scents that are reminiscent of bygone times and familiar places yet infused with the unexpected, creating something altogether fresh and new.

This perfectly describes their perfumes, because I truly felt that each one reminded me of something from my past and each one seemed familiar to me when I smelled them.  They are all very concentrated so you don't need much.  These are not subtle perfumes, they are strong and elegant and would be great for date night, but not great for a job interview or a hot day in the sun when you'll be around a bunch of people.  These would be perfect for the winter because they really stick to your skin and don't fade a lot.  I always have a problem with perfumes sticking in the winter unless they are stronger formulas.

Cleopatra is a very seductive type scent, as described.  I pick up the most on the grapefruit, musk, and jasmine scents. It is a very rich, yet classic feeling scent.  Stella is very fruity and is my favorite of the three scents.  I definitely pick up on the bitter and blood orange scents and it's very fresh yet powerful.  It is a beautiful mix of fruity and floral without being too sweet, which is hard to achieve in a fragrance.  Florence is very sophisticated and floral.  I was impressed that it had bergamot and tuberose (two smells that usually offend my nose) yet I really love it.  This is a beautiful musk with many different floral notes that complement each other without overpowering.

I really enjoyed these perfumes, and my next purchase from TOCCA will be their Viaggio Classic Set- the new one, that has three different fragrances.  It's a great value and I love these!

Yours in Beauty,
