Pure Illumination Light Up Lip Gloss

I had a super fun time testing out Pure Illumination Light Up Lip Gloss.  Don't you wish every lip gloss came with a mirror and a light up wand?  I can't believe more lip glosses haven't caught up with the times and put some rad features on their tube.

Justina's Review:

A tube of this lipstick retails at $20.  I'm not sure which product they sent me to try, as the bottom of the tube only has the number "2" written on it, but I'm pretty sure it's the shade Nude Beach.  The formula contains medical-grade lanolin, jojoba, sweet almond oil, and vitamin E.  On their site, you have the option to choose between a twist top and a push top LED light.  The twist top light activates when you simply open your lip gloss.  The push button applicator (what I have) activates by pushing the black button on top.  The LED lights on their lip gloss last for an impressive 100 hours!

I loved taking this to the movie theater and applying it in the dark with the built in mirror!  It drove my husband crazy to sit next to me when I kept pulling it out but it was so cool I couldn't help myself!  I also think it works really well if you want to push the button and use the lit up lip gloss to find something else in your purse.

The formula was nude and sparkly, and when I swipe my lips together I can feel that the formula is a little gritty with sparkle and not totally smooth.  The gloss has a very thin consistency, not goopy at all.  The formula also has a pleasant mint scent, but no taste.

All in all, I would recommend this to people because of the fun applicator, and the natural ingredients.

Jessica's Review: Lip Gloss in Love Struck

Product Description: The Lano Company presents Love Struck Pure Illumination Lip Gloss. Turn on the natural, healing properties of Lanolin with the vibrant salmon color with innovative flip-flop mica which shimmers between pink and cooper in the sunlight. It will look great on sun kissed skin.

I think this color appears darker in the tube than it does in the picture online, but regardless, I absolutely love it. I was provided the top that lights up when you turn it. Personally, I would probably prefer the push top one that Justina reviewed for times when I'm digging around in my purse! You have your choice when ordering. I love love love the light on this and the side mirror. I just applied this in the dark and had absolutely no issues. What a perfect product to bring on a date where you can quickly touch up as your date runs to the bathroom.

I love the minty tingle and this gloss stayed on for hours. I didn't think it was overly sticky either. I like this alone or topped over other shades. This is a definite winner in my book!

Justina & Jessica
