Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Eight natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen. Each of these products has a lot of pigment and looks like a lipstick but feels like a balm. Perhaps my favorite part of this product is that since they go on sheer, you can build them up by layering on more and more. The sheerness of the application allows you to apply without even using a mirror.
This picture was taken in dim lighting, with no flash. The sheen you see on the top row is just how shiny and balm-like these go on.
This is what the applicator looks like. The bottom silver part screws up and it comes out of the top and looks like a crayon! The cap is silver too. The packaging is wonderful and I haven't had any problems with this coming open in my purse or melting if I leave it in my car in the sun.
This picture is taken in the complete darkness with flash. You can see a better depiction of what the top row looks like in this picture. I took a ton of pictures of these, and all of them showed the sheen of the colors somewhere smack in the middle of the swatch. So annoying!
Here are the new summer colors!!
As a whole, these are a lot more sheer than the winter collection they came out with. Curvy Candy and Mighty Mimosa look very similar on the swatches, but Curvy Candy goes on a lot more pink, while Mighty Mimosa goes on a lot more peachy-pink. Voluptuous Violet looks like it's going to be super dark purple, but it gives just a touch of color to the lips when applied- you kind of get the I-just-sucked-on-a-grape-sucker effect with that shade. Pudgy Peony and Two Ton Tomato are definitely the two shades that wear the brightest, but you have to layer the sheer color to get the bright effect. Oversized Orange is a great coral-orange shade for someone who is afraid of this color. This one is my favorite of the whole collection. It is a blue toned orange, not a tawny orange, so the result is that your teeth look brighter and whiter. Heaping Hazelnut is another favorite of mine- it is the perfect nude shade. I have a hard time finding a nude that doesn't wash me out, that shows up on the lips, and isn't too orange/brown/yellow in its undertones- this shade is nearly perfect in every way. It also kind of blends into my skin in the picture, so I guess for me, it is totally my true "nude" shade.
Is there a shade you'd like to see swatched on the lips? Leave a comment and I'll make it happen!
