Face Mask Series Part 5: M.A.D. Skincare Environmental Mask

This is part of an ongoing series where I review a bunch of face masks including gel, cream, and mud masks galore! The one I'm going to review today is M.A.D. Skincare Environmental Detox Mask. Check out the website here.
Retails $28, 2oz

The environment’s more damaging to skin than ever before. Pollution, stress and poor diet contribute to premature aging. Your skin needs a shield to protect against these environmental aggressors. Protect and nourish your skin with this rich botanical mask for a healthy look that will last.

Does not contain parabens or chemical colorants.

ACTION INGREDIENTS

• Pollution Defense Peptide – Enhances the function of skin to help eliminate toxins and minimize damaging effects of physical and emotional stress. It also guards against free radical damage.

• Cellular Enhancing Isoflavones- These organic compounds help to reduce the breakdown of collagen and prevent fats in the skin from forming aggressive compounds. Also helps to improve skin breakdown due to environmental stress.

• Black currant seed oil– Rich in fatty acids, this natural oil helps to maintain healthy skin and reduce the effects of dry damaged skin offering a more youthful glow.

My thoughts:
  • This has a white lightweight cream consistency. One of my favorite things about MAD products is they are all so light weight feeling and yet moisturizing.
  • Apply all over face, leave on 5-10 minutes, rinse off with tepid water.
  • This is one of my favorite face masks. It leaves my skin feeling cleaner and looking better. I just feel better after using this. Its hard to describe it much more accurately than that.
  • I have had this bottle for awhile and although it may seem a little more pricey for a face mask, I would definitely say that it is worth it. And isn't that really what beauty and skincare products are all about? Making us feel and look better?

Stay tuned for my later parts in this series and be sure to check out:
