Dry Shampoo Comparison!

Hello Beauties!  Today we bring to you several dry shampoos for a compare/contrast.  Not sure if dry shampoo could be for you?  If you want to preserve your hair color, wash your hair less and use some dry shampoo to keep fresh!  If you like a little extra texture or need to absorb oil in your bangs or roots, dry shampoo is also the perfect product for you!  If you have any questions or want to add something, please leave us a comment!

On to our review:

Tigi Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo
Retails at $19
One of my all time favorite dry shampoos.  The reason I like it best is because it's colorless unless you get too close to your roots, then it leaves a slight white film on your hair.  It has a fresh scent, and the ability to absorb oil and grease at the roots.  I love using this even on freshly washed hair to add more texture to my roots and hair.  There is no real need to brush through your hair- just finger comb through.  I can use this at least 3-4 days in a row and get beautiful, fresh and clean hair as a result each time.  I read some reviews on Amazon, and a lot of people say the packaging sucks and the bottle only contains about 3 uses- I've never stumbled upon this problem and have always gotten several months of use out of a bottle.  If it's a concern, check the return policy before purchasing to ensure they'll honor a return on any faulty products.

Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray
Retails at $3
Not a winning formula for me.  The smell is citrusy which is great, and it sprays on mostly clear. As with any dry shampoo, you want to check in the mirror and brush in or rub in any white spots.  The reason I don't like it is because it works for about 10 minutes before it makes my hair go limp with product buildup.  Just because I don't like it doesn't mean you won't either- Jessica happens to really like this formula!  The price tag makes it worth a try if you're in the market for a dry shampoo!

Psssssst! Dry Shampoo
Retails at $7
Really awesome dry shampoo and what makes it even better is the low price and the accessibility at most drug stores.  I know I've seen this at a Fred Meyers and a Walgreens.  A major bonus for me is when I can purchase a product in a store rather than in an online store.  I love the fresh scent and the funky packaging.  This is a win for me!

TIGI Bed Head Sugar Dust
Retails at $17
Not much of a fan of this product.  The best way I can think of to describe this is like a salt shaker.  It weighs almost NOTHING and the product is invisible, which at first may lead you to feel like you've been duped into buying an empty package of air.  If you tip the product into your hand and look closely, you'll notice some very small powdery flakes that are nearly invisible in your hand.  Application is the tough part.  I don't like applying this because I can't see it, so the only viable way is to shake it in your hand, then find a way to get it on to your scalp.  The invisible part is attractive (in theory) to people with dark hair because it doesn't leave the white residue.  I can only conveniently put this on my roots, and not spray the rest of my hair with it.  Not a huge fan personally, but if you are interested in the invisibility of the product, it's workable.
Michael O'Rourke Rock Your Hair Powder
Retails at $17
I had to buy this because it's hot pink and has rhinestones on it.  I bought this at a discount store and I have to say I like it better than its invisible counterpart, the Sugar Dust.  You can't see this stuff very well but unlike Sugar Dust, it's not weightless.  You can actually feel this product in your hands. It's much more helpful when trying to apply it because you can actually see if the product is making it on to your scalp.

Batiste Fresh Dry Shampoo (and Blush)
