Hey there Bright Eyes :)

So, its dark, its cold, and its snowy and rainy. What to do? What else but a really bright eye look to bring some cheer into the day? Here we go :)

This look is very easy. Step One: Apply Too Faced Nice Stems all over your lid, or at least on 2/3rds of your lid. You don't have to focus as much on the outer corner, although this color is easily blendable and you can add others on top. This is a bright green shade as seen below. This is such an amazing green color. Too Faced shadows are highly pigmented and very unique colors.

Step Two: Using a crease brush, apply a bright aqua teal shade in the outer corner of the lid and bring this up a bit into crease and blend with your brush into the green. The shade I used was MAC Shimmermoss.

Step Three: I applied a bright pink color in the outer V area as well. I used Urban Decay's Woodstock. Basically I kind of sandwiched this color in between the green and the blue. On the outer lid, I did a V with the blue and so this pink color was added more as a baby V. By "V" I mean that is the shape you are going to apply this in with your brush onto the outer lid and outer crease area.

Step Four: Bring whatever color is your fave to make your eyes pop down to the lower lash line. I used the pink since pink pairs very well with green eyes. Pick whatever color makes your eyes pop the most to feature more in the outer V area and bring this down to the lower lash line. You can completely line the lower lash line with this color or just bring it down a bit.

Step Four: Apply Mascara and Eyeliner. I used Tarte's lights, camera, lashes and Make Up For Ever aqua eyes black liner on the lower lash line and NYC black liquid liner on the top lash line.

Step Five: Apply a lipstick. Since I went dramatic with the eyes, I would suggest something that isn't too much of  a statement color. Something neutral or more subtle. I used Clinique Chubby Stick in Fuller Fig. I love their Chubby Sticks. They are easy to apply anywhere without a mirror and are super moisturizing.

Step Six: Apply a pink blush. I used e.l.f. Fushia Fusion.

Prep: Before I started on the eyes, I did apply Benefit's That Gal face primer, Estee Lauder foundation and Palladio Rice Powder as a finishing powder. I also used Maybelline's instant age rewind dark circle eraser in brightening. I had done some minor contouring and applied bronzer in NYC's Sunny shade.

The key to a crazier eye look is to tone down everything else. My outfit of choice was a black lacy tank top with an oversized grey belted waist sweater, dark skinny jeans, black flats, and my owl necklace from Maurice's. :) This is a wearable look for anyone if you are sure to only have one focal area or statement area.

What a Hoot :)

Yours in Beauty,

PS-Justina and I scored our fave mascara, L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black on sale for $2.99 at Woodman's which is a member owned grocery store in this area. Super exciting :)

  1. That owl necklace is too cute!

  2. I agree! I love animal necklaces...I have a peacock and a fish, and I also have elephant earrings!

  3. Great look! Beautiful on you...keep them coming!
