FOTD: Face Of The Day

Ok so this is a face from many days ago, not this day.  This is a gorgeous look that Jessica didn't post and I took it upon myself to post it because I think it's fab!  My favorite parts of this look- I totally love the perfect eyebrows, and the luminous skin!  Leave a message and tell us your favorite part!

Here is a great purple smokey eye look. You can wear this as a darker night look or if you pair it with more neutral clothing and don't do anything too fancy with your hair, it can work as a day look. I love purple eyeshadows as it really brings out my green eyes and this was based around a Jane eye shadow I have that I totally forgot about!

Products used:
Eyes: Sephora flashy liner in Flashy Violet eyeliner, Jane Eye Zing in 16 Electric Iris, Victoria's Secret Wet/Dry Shadow in Flower Girl, Makeup For ever Professional Aqua Eyes 01 Black, L'oreal Carbon Black Luminous Mascara, Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara in 02 Black/Brown, Merle Normal Lasting Creame Eye shadow in Cream Puff (used as highlighter), Loreal Studio Secrets Eyeshadow in 920 Lush Raven (matte dark black), Maybelline 30S Champagne Fizz (pearly cream), Elf lash curler.

Eyebrows: Clinique Chocolate Chip Eyeshadow

NYC Sunny, Palladio Rice Power (at Sally's Beauty), Elf Complexion Perfection, the Balm Hot Mama blush

Lips: Lancome Juicy Tubes Smoothie (my mini does not say what color, but it looks similar to Tickled Pink but darker)

How to: Curl Lashes with ELF lash curler ($1) Line upper lash with Sephora eyeliner, color in lid with same liner and smudge over lid. Pat the Jane eye color on top. I used my Elf eye brush for this and it works great. Blend in/lighten the color in the crease with the Victorias Secret eyeshadow which is a shimmery pink color, use the Merle Norman up to the brow bone as a highlighter. Dab in Loreal Studio Secrets Eye shadow in 920 Lush Raven (matte dark black) in the outer crease and corner, use Maybelline 30S Champagne Fizz in the tear duct area. Sweep any brown shadow onto your eyelashes (or whatever color matches your own)

Use brush to blend together the colors. Bring the black Loreal down to the lower lid with an eye pencil brush, making a soft black line, blend in with your finger. Line your water line with the Makeup Forever Black eyeliner. Use Mascara (Carbon Black is an amazing mascara), use Clinique or any smaller mascara brush on your lower lashes.
I put powder on last because I was not in the mood to wear heavier foundation as my skin has been pretty good lately. I swept the Palladio Rice Powder over my face with a powder brush (this is great powder, but you do have to be careful with the packaging because the top isn't that tight). I swept some The Balm Hot Mama blush on and finished with Elf complexion perfection which is a great finishing powder and it evens out imperfections, redness, etc.

Usually if I have a long day, I spray 2-3 sprays of Urban Decay All Night Long Makeup setting spray. This is an amazing spray to keep your makeup lasting all day. My makeup has even stayed on while in a hot tub and swimming (not going under water) and I have tested this 2 days. My makeup isn't perfect after, but shockingly still looking pretty good considering I was in a steamy hot tub.

Thanks and be sure to check out my special edition blog below with some great decorating tips! I will also be doing a NYX review of their shadows and liners in the upcoming weeks from a Cherry Culture haul.

Yours in Beauty,
