Weekend Favorites

Hello all!  We hope you've had a wonderful weekend...we know we did!  Jessica went home to southern Wisconsin, and I went home to my husband's family in a different location in southern Wisconsin.  I'm feeling a little too full from all that awesome food to sleep, so I stopped by Jessica's house to blog on some of our sweet finds from the weekend.

Our favorite finds:

Catwalk Conditioner- $6.99 each down from $35

GAP Outlet- gold leaf necklace, originally $19.99, I bought for $2.38
Can't wait to pair this beauty with a thick nubby sweater or my new peplum shirt and floor sweeping skirt!

Super cute blazers for $11.99 at Old Navy
Going back to work after the long weekend will be so much easier in a pretty new outfit!
Jessica promises to post sometime in the next few days about these super cute blazers because the website is not allowing us to post a pic here, but if you're interested here's the link!!

2 Decorative pillows at $9.99!
A great deal considering they usually go for at least twice that price.

MAC Holiday 5 Smoky Thrillseekers Pigments/Glitter- $22.75
Super beautiful, but beware of fallout and use eye primer.  We suggest Palladio or UDPP

We couldn't resist some swatches:

We found a near dupe to the MAC shadow (bottom) that is multi toned blue and brown with my bareMinerals READY eyeshadow in Mirage (top). Ignore the black swatch!

They aren't perfect dupes, but pretty close.

ULTA Stila doorbuster item- 2 eyeliners in koi and silver dollar, $10
Once you can twist enough times to get product, this color is seriously gorge.  AND it doesn't budge a bit.  Check out the second pic, I penciled 2 swatches of each, and I tried to rub the heck out out my hand, and it didn't move an inch!

Shark Steam Mop- $38

George Foreman Grill- $12.99 marked down from $39
For our healthy eating needs post Thanksgiving!

Stila Glitz and Glam palette and lip glaze- $10 down from $76
Can't beat the price!  And the colors are beautiful and purse friendly.

Beauty Splash lipgloss $1
This stuff from Walgreens is packaged strangely like the Victoria's Secret lipgloss.

Walgreens Prenatal Vitamins- $10.99
Don't worry, we're not pregnant!  It's to make your hair grow super fast!

Modern Family Season 2- $8.99

Jessica and I decided to use some of our new stuff to create some new looks. We'll give you the brief rundown of what was used!

Jessica is wearing ALL the MAC pigments on her lids.  Because of the fallout, it is a good idea to do your eyes first, then have some qtips and your favorite eye makeup remover on hand to catch all the fall out from the under eye area.  After, use some concealer and a sheer coverage foundation, set with some powder. We used the ELF contouring blush and bronzer.  Jessica had some fun playing with the new koi and silver dollar liners around her eyes, and topped off her look with a chocolate brow shade, the Beauty Splash lipgloss and  her new Tarte mascara.

Justina is wearing the two neutral pigments from the MAC set layered one over the other on her lids. Next, put silver on the bottom water line to make your eyes pop and layer silver then gold on the top lash line.  The brows are finished off with a chocolaty brown powder shadow and the lashes are topped off the Estee Lauder's Sumptuous mascara in the purple shade.  (Check out how long my lashes are getting!!)  The same Beauty Splash lipgloss from Walgreens is on the lips...it feels excellent!

Oh, and I want to share a picture of my husband and I from this weekend.  We went to the Wisconsin Badgers vs. Penn State game.  I was a little worried about my makeup because it literally rained the entire day and I felt like a soggy mess.  I wore my trusty rusty Milani infinite liquid liner in black, and my L'Oreal Carbon Black waterproof mascara.  It didn't budge!

By the way, one last shameless plug...if you want to check out brand new products all the time like we do, one great thing you should do to treat yourself this month is sign up for Birchbox.  Check it out right HERE.
We really love this company and we love that getting an exclusive 4-5 piece gift every month. Well worth the $10 subscription, which we might add INCLUDES tax and shipping.  We can't wait for Birchbox Man to come out either.

Have a great long work week after the lovely long weekend!

Yours in Beauty, Justina and Jessica.
