Stila: The Perfect Kitten

Purrrrr.....I've been wanting to try more Stila products lately, especially the color Kitten which is basically their signature color. I have three Stila Kitten products that I used to create this soft everyday perfect kitten look.

I love this color! The eyeshadow I think is a must have. It is a very soft shimmery neutral and you can use it as a base, as a wear alone shadow, or as a highlighter. It is also very easy to blend other colors with this and would look good with pretty much any eye color.

The look:

The Stila products:
  • One Step Primecolor in Kitten, $22
    • I first applied this on the eyelid since it can be used as an eyeshadow or primer. Then I applied this more like a highlighter on the top of my cheeks, right under the eyebrow, and in the inner V of my eye. (see below for even more uses)
  • Eyeshadow Single in Kitten $18
    • I applied this all over my lid with an eyeshadow brush and then blended in two NYX colors which are described in the next section below.
  • Lipgloss in Kitten $22
    • Apply on lips. I like this gloss, again I love the kitten color. Some people complain these are too sticky, but I don't think so at all.

Sorry for the mess, I just got this about a week ago and have been wearing it everyday as you can see!
Left to right: Prime color in Kitten, Kitten eyeshadow, Kitten lipgloss

Top swatch is showing the prime color after being rubbed in a bit, if you keep rubbing, this color will fade more into your skin, leaving a soft shimmer or glow

What is Stila One Step?
(I am loving the versatility of this product and the color selection)
Perfect color in one step!
beautifully enhances the skin by combining the benefits of a primer, lip color, eye shadow and cheek color in one luxurious formula.
  • adjustable and buildable coverage
  • high definition and long wearing
  • paraben-free
  • fragrance-free
The help:
  • bareMinerals Well Rested which is a eye powder to lighten the eye area. I use a mini kabuki brush and sweep this in the under eye area and around the eye. I will be reviewing this further in the future, I got this a week ago and so far am loving it! It really works to brighten up my eye area.
  • I used my NYC trio in Golden/Rust/Walnut Bronze and used the color farthest to the right which is Walnut Bronze in the crease applied with a crease brush (top brush) and the gold color applied in the very outer V of your eye with an eyeshadow brush (bottom brush), then brought this gold color which is Golden down to the lower lash line with a shadow brush (middle of the brushes below)
NYX Shadow swatches
  • Maybelline Dream Mouse blush in 20 Peach Satin, smile and apply to apples of cheeks, rub in and blend outward
  • Maybeline Great Lash mascara in Lots of Lashes brush style (see how long my lashes look!)
  • I lined my bottom lash line with Makeup For Ever Aqua eyes liner in black and brought this into the outer corner V of my eye and up into the outer top lash line.
This is an easy look that anyone can master. The Stila Kitten products are versatile and will work well with any look or colors. I have found myself using at least one Kitten product every day. I wanted to keep a fresh soft look, so I only used a few other products which makes this an easy look for anyone to replicate.
