Allure's 2011 Best of Beauty

Allure just posted their 2011 Best of Beauty Awards!  We want to give you the scoop on which of their favorites are OUR favorites, too!  And a couple that we would love to try!

Justina, Jessica, and Allure favorite...
Estee Lauder DayWear Advanced Multi-Protection Creme SPF 15 Dry Skin
We love the way this product performs and it has a great light cucumber scent.
Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector
This serum feels great on the skin and really delivers.
Lancome Genifique Eye Youth Activating Eye Concentrate
Check out our skin care blog post, this is one of Jessica's staple items!
Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage
This really helps to reduce swelling/looks of exhausting/allergies in the eye area.  Love it!
Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Birthday Suit
A truly phenomenal eye shadow base that can also be worn alone.  We use it daily!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Eye Pencil
We love the staying power and color pigmentation of these eye liners.
Mary Kay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
Justina's all time favorite eye makeup remover.  This stuff rocks!
Moroccanoil Restorative Hair Mask
In Justina's shower right now, this product is super softening to the hair and ultra luxurious.
Clinique Acne Solutions Liquid Makeup
This foundation is great at combating breakouts, with excellent coverage that doesn't feel heavy.
Nars Blush in Orgasm
A cult classic that looks great on EVERYBODY'S skin tone!  We love this stuff!
Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula
A wonderful non abrasive scrub gentle enough for every day.

Allure loves it and we can't wait to get our hands on it soon...
Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger Moisturizing Lather Shampoo
We can't wait to try out this newer Paul Mitchell Line.  Great reviews on these products!
Rimmel London Eyeful Eye Glistener in Flaunt
This is a great gold liner that reminds of a Sephora shade and a MUFE shade.
Avon Ultra Color Rich Moisture Seduction Lipstick in Tangerine
We are loving the swirly color look to this lip line.  Would love to get our hands on some of these!
Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Powder
We've heard great stuff about this powder, and have heard that E.l.f. has a great dupe for less.
St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Body Scrub
We love St. Ives products, and this one looks sooooo soothing!
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush
We haven't tried any Tarte products yet, but we love the idea of Amazonian clay as an ingredient!
RoC Retinol Correxion Sensitive Night Cream, and Eye Cream
Justina's been testing out some other RoC products and we're hopeful for these to be great too!
Sally Hansen VitaSurge Cuticle Gel
This stuff just LOOKS cool!  We <3 Sally Hansen and would love to try this out.
Zoya 3-in-1 Formula Remove+
We are hoping this lavender scented polish remover comes in our Birchboxes this month!

Everybody loves a Cheap Thrill which is also fabulous!
L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara
We love this mascara and compare it to many high end Lancome mascaras!  A must have at any price!
EOS Lip Balm
This is a great balm we are currently obsessed with!  Justina keeps it on her bedside table, so good!

We would love to hear which products are your favorite too!

Yours in Beauty,

Justina and Jessica

  1. Anymore about sephora nail polish or eye shadow or liner?

  2. My favorites this year: 2011
    Elf eyeshadows-fantastic.
    ELf blush
    MAC eyebrushes
Estee Lauder Scumptous dark black mascara.
    Mark bronzer
Mark matte eyeshadows-they only make 3, bummer.
Mark lip glosses-girlie girl my fav.
Jordana eyeliner-never had better and 1.00 each!
The colors are great and easy to apply-you can get a pencil or a wand type. At Walgreens at the make up counter by check out. Try Espresso.

Mitchell Awauphi hair Products are sulfate free and chemical free, not tested on animals. My hair has never looked better. The smell is divine.

I wasted my money this year on Estee Lauder skin care. It dried out my skin, caused more fine lines and inflamed my skin for weeks. Then I found Neutrogena Wrinkle free RA (rentinal) day and night cream. My skin loves it. For a 1/4 of the price of Estee. Neutrogena has a night serum that works great to. CVS sells it every 2 months for 2 for 1.
The day cream has SPF and hydrates all day.

    Found the best mascara:
Benifit "They are real"-try it its amazing!
    Orgins organic eyelash primer
Bed Head Moisture Manic Moisturizer for hair

At Sally-Queen Helena Soy and Cocoa Butter Lotion. it sells for 3.50 a quart-yes I said a quart. Amamzing lotion. Moisturize all day long.

Whole Food has reasonably priced lines of sulfate free, cruelty free beauty products and lotions for those that follow cruelty and chemical free. I like their 360 lotion, hand soap, dish soap.

Dr. Watkins Vanilla organic hand lotion is a heavy night hand cream.

Pedicure buffer-Rosemay and Lavender scent at Sally.

Nicole Miller perfume by same name. Wonderful.

  3. Thanks so much! I'm going to check some of those out. I'm always on the search for great eyeliners, so I'm going to check out the Jordana ones now. I love Watkins products, Sally's Beauty, and Neutrogena! :)
